The Onset Of Autumn

Swirling paths of light

Leaves gently falling. swaying

Deaths hand plays a song

Of fractured domains singing

Complacent in the calling

I’ve written and photographed to two ninety ninety nine,

I’m at the cusp of three hundred on this fun blog of mine.

As I hike and I walk and take pictures galore,

Do I have the stamina for three hundred more?

As long as I breathe and can take a long hike,

It’s my poems and my pictures I hope you’ll still like.

(I read this to my son and he said “You sound like a hippy Dr. Seuss.”)

Simple Thoughts

Brainstorm

Ideas swerve

In and out to a quick

Tempo of mutual passion

Tick tock, creativity knocks

Spontaneuous thoughts are

A reflection

Of life

Tranquility

When

I look

Into your

Eyes, what do you

See? a mirrored life

Masking tranquility.

Vanilla scented love keeps

Me close, intoxicating in

Its simplicity, flowing freely,

Marking days, the drumbeat of my

Life a silent echo, filling

The void with snippets of time

That continue to tell

Me that I love you.

Seen from afar,

I forget

That you

Breathe.

A Lazy Winter Day

Lazy Day

Snow is falling

White flakes accumulate

Like quiet memories lost in

A sugar coated fantasy

Waiting for warmth and time

To erase them

Lazy day

Darkness

Darkness,

A thin veil of

Promise hidden in the

Quiet voices of yesterday.

Voices heard over and over

Bringing memories back,

Taunting us with

Silence
