I took these photos the day after the second nor easter dumped 19.5 inches of the white stuff on us.
Another photo of the snow, this time in B & W with the sun coming up to the left.
The same backyard as yesterday. The tree that was centered in the B & W photo is now to the right. What a difference a day makes! By Wednesday it will be in the 60’s.
Looking out of my jeep. 22 degrees with a fresh snowfall waiting for the snow to melt so I can head to work!
All day long
The snow softly falling
Gentle flakes, no longer one, alone
Brought together, intertwined, sorrow
Descending, is now my
Existence
The promise of snow
Descending madly, soflty
Silence speaks, listen
That’s right folks…On Saturday 1/6/18 at just after 7 am, the temperature in Mahopac, NY was -12. Not believing the car thermostat, I checked two different weather sites and it was confirmed. I don’t think that I need to dwell on just how cold it was with the wind chill! By the way, a week after the snow and cold, it is going to be 50 degrees and raining.
Snow lightly falling

For the first time in recent memory (my recent memory, of course), we actually woke up to snow falling on Christmas!
A fresh coat of white to start the day.
