Sitting in my house watching the snow fall makes me wish for winters quick exit and an even quicker arrival of spring. At the time of this posting we are one foot into possibly two feet of snow!

“I think snow is so evocative and has such a powerful atmosphere.”
-Kate Bush
“A snow day literally and figuratively falls from the sky, unbidden, and seems like a thing of wonder.”
-Susan Orlean

A
Winter
Wonderland
Stands before me,
Untouched and pristine,
The soft virgin snow waits
As the flakes fall, innocent
And silent, singing a song of
Wonderment and love, asking for
Nothing but tranquility,
The scene, full of beauty,
Only to be one,
Forever lost
In the soft
White fluff,
Peace
White flakes falling fast,
Pristine wonder on broken
Limb, savor the peace,
Stillness echoing fluffy
Perfection, my heart is free

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the snow.”
“When sow falls, nature listens.”
-Antoinette van Kleeff

My dog Jase playing in the middle of a snowstorm. We thought at first he wouldn’t want to stay outside, but he loved it!!!!

“A cold wind was blowing from the north, and it made the trees rustle like living things.”

Our dog Jase’s favorite soccer ball.

A snowy day waiting for my daughters hockey game to start in South Kent, CT.

Snow falling.

Snowy splendor sends
Shivering signs to
Help affirm the truth
Fresh prints in the snow
Marking time , ice kissed and
Alone, barren past

Lazy Day
Snow is falling
White flakes accumulate
Like quiet memories lost in
A sugar coated fantasy
Waiting for warmth and time
To erase them
Lazy day
