Beautiful
Sitting, staring, waiting
Drifting, moving closer, his soft
Head rests on my leg, hand on head
Deep, content breaths signal

“No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does.”
-Christopher Morley
“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
-Roger Caras
In my previous post I showed you some pictures of my dog Jase hanging out. Here are some more photos of him, this time playing with a couple of his favorite toys-a partially deflated soccer ball and a lacrosse ball. He was as happy as we were to finally be outside in the warm air!!!
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains never awakened.”
– Anatole France
“Happiness starts with a wet nose and ends with a tail.”

After a blizzard, cold weather and what seemed like endless days of rain, it is finally a beautiful day here in the Hudson Valley of NY. Nice blue skies and a warm temperature of almost 60 made for a great day for my dog Jase to get out and play. Here are some pictures of him just sitting around.
“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the snow.”
“When sow falls, nature listens.”
-Antoinette van Kleeff
“A snow day literally and figuratively falls from the sky-unbidden-and seems like a thing of wonder.”
-Susan Orlean
My dog Jase playing in the middle of a snowstorm. We thought at first he wouldn’t want to stay outside, but he loved it!!!!
Eyes closed, tail wagging
Sleeping and dreaming, happy
I am loved by all
Legs moving quickly
On the chase, can’t seal the deal
No problem, I’ll wait
Sleep fades, eyes open
Familiar voices greet me
Radiating love
“Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear.”
“Dogs love to go for rides. A dog will happily get into any vehicle going anywhere.”
-Dave Barry
Before I say anything about the picture, I have to note that I in no way recommend that anyone take a picture of their dog in the side view mirror as they drive down the road. That would just be dangerous!!!! With that said, Jase loves riding in cars (as you have read before) and here he is with his tongue flopping in the wind.
Although any ride is a good ride for Jase, this one in particular was an especially satisfying one as he spent just about three hours with us, driving around and doing errands. To say that he loved every minute of it would be an incredible understatement.
Based on the look of bliss on Jase’s face, I will not say anything else. The picture tells the entire story.
