Liquid drops of life
Falling through thinly veiled
Pillows of quickly
Moving moisture, crashing down
Into puddles of disdain
Liquid drops of life
Falling through thinly veiled
Pillows of quickly
Moving moisture, crashing down
Into puddles of disdain
Indifference rules
Mystical magic soothes the
Bitter root of a
Beating heart as the unknown
Now feeds on the dying night
Cool orb in the sky
Beckons with defiance and
Complete disregard
As it slides slowly into the
Morning, hidden by its lies
We fear the unknown
Never letting go, holding
On to what we have
Thinking we have no choice, but
To let it go, is heaven
Tears slide down the contours of her face,
Each one filled with reminders of the past.
When hearts beat as one and love was new,
But time is cruel and the story told as souls age and drift apart,
Is a forgotten one.
Time slowly descends on what once was, asking for nothing and promising
everything.
Attempting to fill a void…
I saw you standing
On the precipice, eyes spent
The flow of tears held
Back as you let go, knowing
That the end was here and now
Seeing
Knowing, being
Lost in thought, forever
Twisted in an embrace meant for
Blinded eyes and crippled souls to
Push away love, in pain
Forever and
Always
Shadows grow long as the days disappear,
The reversal of time heeds its call.
Cold dark nights are upon us,
Each lovers embrace a stark reminder of what once was.
Passing silently in each others arms,
The warmth of yesterday fades into the glowing embers
And the wispy grey ashes of every lost love and the memories shared.
With time diverted and memories now deferred, the hope of tomorrow
Brings the promise of new life, new love and a warm embrace.
The light of fall fades
A moment defines each day
Each ray of the sun
Made shorter by natures breath
Winters arrival to come
It’s the second of November and it doesn’t feel like fall,
An unlikely wind is upon us, failing to heed the call,
And now the day is over and as nice as it has been,
I like it much, much cooler, to keep me in my zen.
Now some of you that are out there, may enjoy a warmer day,
To get outside while you can to walk and run and play,
But days like this, my dear old friends, I really couldn’t care,
Because I’m the kind of dude, who likes the chilly air.
