A Fog Filled Morning

img_2082

A foggy day, exactly twenty four hours after we got 6 inches of snow!

Melting snow watches,

Empty fog transforms each soul,

A misty blanket

Of warm rain falls, envelopes

Protects, hides and forgives all

Hello Blue Sky

Blue sky

Fluffy white clouds

Floating dreamlike, vivid

And bizarre, detached from all hope,

Wandering alone, no passion

Fleeing wispy entrails,

Obscurity

No time

My Guitar

Mellow

Sounds flow outward,

Precocious melodies

Bleed through every pore, sadness

Seeping, creeping and weeping its

Way into my conscience,

Into my heart

My soul

The Demise of Another Day

Sunset

Red streaks stain an

Icy canvas, orange

Hues slide slowly between the trees,

Frosty limbs masking the death of

Each weary day, waiting

For destinies

New dawn

The Coming Storm

Canada geese fleeing the scene the day before a storm.

Escape

The coming storm,

Wings beating a hasty

Retreat, winters wrath the next stop?

A pledge made, subliminal path

Helping the flock to flee

Avoiding strife

Relief

Labs First Snow

Cold winds and grey skies,

Promised chaos,

The throes and woes of winter,

Today, the calm before the storm.

Still, the black lab walks the frozen earth,

Nose raised in anticipation,

Seeking confirmation,

Sensing transformation,

Sacrificing everything.
