In my previous post I showed you some pictures of my dog Jase hanging out. Here are some more photos of him, this time playing with a couple of his favorite toys-a partially deflated soccer ball and a lacrosse ball. He was as happy as we were to finally be outside in the warm air!!!

After a blizzard, cold weather and what seemed like endless days of rain, it is finally a beautiful day here in the Hudson Valley of NY. Nice blue skies and a warm temperature of almost 60 made for a great day for my dog Jase to get out and play. Here are some pictures of him just sitting around.

Walking on the path,
Immersed in the retreat
Of winter, hopeful

My daughter, survveying the winter wonderland.
“Each solstice is a domain of experience unto itself. At the Summer Solstice, all is green and growing, potential coming into being, the miracle of manifestation painted large on the canvas of awareness. At the Winter Solstice, the wind is cold, trees are bare and all lies in stillness beneath blankets of snow.”
-Gary Zukav

The crow on the branch, a sidewards glance,
Each winters morning, a hypnotic trance.
With a backdrop of grey, wind whipping each tree,
Each furtive glimpse, tranquility….

“Tombstones covered the dale, the smooth marble surfaces bright. She had spent days here as a teenager, though not out of any awareness of mortality. Like every adolescent, she intended to live forever.”
-Thomm Quackenbush
