The Cast Is Off!

photo_edited

My repaired ankle on its way to recovery!

The cast is off and man that’s great!

It feels much better but can still bear no weight.

So the doctor says no walking or hiking, not for many days,

The thought of this has me in a daze!

The scar it left though is really cool,

It tells the story of a hiking fool.

The tale it tells is simple and true,

Stay hydrated and sure footed and you won’t ever be blue!

Rhyming And Rhyming

Rhyming and rhyming it’s what I can do,

Rhyming and rhyming the entire day through.

I’ll rhyme about this and I’ll rhyme about that,

I’ll even rhyme about my sweet little cat.

But rhyming about nothing is what I do best,

Even as I rhyme about each hiking quest.

So I’ll continue to rhyme, whether you like it or not,

And if you want to join me, please give it a shot!

The Zoo

I live in a house that seems like a zoo,

A rabbit, a cat and a dog form the crew.

They all get along, it’s a strange sight to see,

The bunny and cat, they frolic with glee!

So, the two of them together, they find themselves frisky,

Should we let the dog play? Or is it just to damn risky?

We love you my friend, but you’re really to large,

To let you come play, being as big as a barge.

So that leaves him alone, our ninety pound Jase,

To join in the fun, to be part of the chase.

But when it’s all over and the day it is done,

They all love each other and all live as one!

My Poor Jeep…

sunroof

The storm it was brewin’ and the sky grew so dark,

The rain starting falling, is it time for the ark?

The wind was blowing and the thunder it roared,

The lightning cut through us, a steely edged sword.

As the storm started fading, we heard a strange crack,

We thought it was odd, were we under attack?

I looked out the window and what fell from the roof?

A massive tree limb, so fast it went poof.

But as that limb landed, to my frantic dismay,

I soon found out, that it would ruin my day.

For where did it land? Could it possibly be so?

Right on top of the jeep, and that really did blow.

It smashed through the sunroof and dented the side,

The whole stinking jeep had nowhere to hide.

So insurance was called, and a claim was so made,

I knew at that moment it should have stayed in the shade.
