Why Now?? I’ll Tell You Why

A woman that I have known for quite a few years asked me on Facebook yesterday why I have become so political recently. Before I get into how I responded to her, let me just say that I have been reasonably political my entire life. As someone who leans more to the right, I learned during the eight years of Obama’s presidency not to say much. Why you might ask?

What exactly did we learn during Obama’s presidency?

We learned that although the left says that they are proponents of free speech, nothing could be further from the truth. No matter how logical, well thought out and factually correct an argument is, the quickest way to combat it is to immediately call that person a racist, sexist, homophobe, misogynist and islamophobe. This way they never have to counter that well thought out argument with facts.

We also learned that the idea that democrats are the “tolerant” party is a myth. I have never seen a group that was more intolerant  of other people’s views in my entire life. Just try to disagree with someone on the left and you’ll see what I mean.

We learned that by combining the previous two paragraphs you have the modern day American left.

So why then have I just now started being more vocal? Here’s why. When Trump became the party’s candidate for President, it seemed like the previous eight years had never ended. As I said to my friend, if you disagreed with Obama and his policies, you were a racist. It wasn’t possible to actually just be able to disagree with them, you just hated minorities. Now Trump comes along and if you support him, you are a racist.

What??? Wait a second. I was a racist because I didn’t like Obama and now I’m a racist because I support Trump? Hmmm…You sensing a predictable sickening pattern here?

Add to this the inability of the left to accept the fact that he is our President, and you have a recipe for disaster. The childish and often times absolutely crazy behavior displayed by the left since the election is legendary. The screaming at the sky, harassing politicians and private citizens for supporting a politician is insane.

So from now on I refuse to sit by and let the left get away with what they believe is their right. The days of bullying, harassing and violence are over. I will not sit idly by and accept the usual tactics from the left. It’s about time the right in this country respond and counter the lies and hypocrisy that the left has been spewing for way too many years.

When did it become a crime in this country to hold an opposing view? When did it become a crime in this country to think that it was ok to call people names because they don’t agree with you?

Since Kavanaugh was nominated the left has become more unhinged than right after the election. They over played their hand this time and it could come back to haunt them.

And that’s why I will not remain silent anymore.

How quickly they forget.

For all of you on the left out there that believe Kavanaugh lacks the ability to be impartial and doesn’t have the temperament to be on the Supreme Court, let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?

In a NYT interview before he was even the Republican candidate, Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, “I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president,” That shows just how neutral she is. How impartial is she and will she be?? Hmm…She goes on to say, “At first I thought it was funny…, to think that there’s a possibility that he could be president …” Oh yeah. And who can forget, “He is a faker.”

Now granted, she did later say she regretted making the comments, but guess what? The cat is already out of the bag. The genie is out of the bottle.

So, if you want to continue to talk about temperament and having the ability to remain impartial, look at your own history before you continue with this line of bovine scatology (thanks General Schwarzkopf!)

As always, if you are offended by this or just don’t like it, I don’t care.

All Aboard!!! The Hypocrisy Train Is Pulling Out Of The Station!

I have just been reading tweets from people who aren’t that thrilled that Senator Collins is going to vote yes for Kavanaugh. Summing it up, most of them are saying that survivors will never be believed and that Collins has betrayed all women. It goes on and on and on.

Ok. So where were all of these woman when Juanita Broderick was accusing Bill Clinton of rape and was ignored by the left?  What was Hillary doing to each of the women who accused Bill of indiscretions? (I’m being kind by saying “indiscretions”) She was shaming them and trying to discredit them.

How soon they forget. How quickly they jump on the hypocrisy train. You folks on the left really have to get your priorities straight. The fact that you have ignored Hillary and her sickening treatment of woman for over 25 years just makes this little charade against Kavanaugh just that, a charade.

Who has truly betrayed women? It’s you, not Senator Collins. Your hypocrisy is beyond mind boggling and it is you who should be ashamed of what is happening.

So before you continue saying that anyone who votes for Kavanaugh will never see a moment of peace, take a good long look at yourselves in the mirror. You can’t have it both ways. Survivors just don’t exist on the left side of the aisle. The next stop on the hypocrisy train might be one you don’t like.

Oh My…This Is Beyond Insanity

We have to have an FBI investigation they cried. This is shameful they whined. We can’t proceed without an investigation they brayed. So what happens? An FBI investigation is done, and now???? It’s not good enough.

I’m sorry, but you folks have gone off of the deep end. We know what you are trying to do. You aren’t slick as you think you are. We get it! It doesn’t matter who the nominee is, you folks on the left will repeat what has been going on since before Kavanaugh was even nominated. The holier than thou posturing has really made you look like squirrels that have taken too much acid.

All of this behavior is a direct result of having a president for eight years who went unchecked by not only everyone in his own party, but the media as well.

Now that someone is actually calling you on your hypocrisy and slimy behavior, you can’t handle it. Boo-Hoo.

How could this have been different for all of you on the left? Run a candidate next time that doesn’t think that they are owed the presidency. Actually campaigning might help as well. Unfortunately this is just more sour grapes because you lost.

Sorry folks, in this case you don’t get a ribbon for second place.

Someone in the “resistance” screaming at the sky. Oh my…

A quick question for my friends on the left. What is the purpose of harassing Republicans and members of the Trump administration in public? Do you not see how childish you look? How infantile? Since election day it has been a temper tantrum thrown on a daily basis because Trump was elected.

So what exactly are you hoping to accomplish by not allowing public figures to live their lives in peace like everyone else?

Do you honestly believe that screaming and accosting people in public is going to help your cause? I know that when I was growing up, yelling, screaming and stamping my feet like a petulant two-year old never succeeded in getting me anything. At some point I realized that and grew up.

Does it soothe your ego to verbally accost people who have been put in place by a duly elected President? (Sorry, we don’t elect the President by popular vote)  Does it make you feel good?

The behavior shown by those on the left since election day has truly been disgusting, and I think that is an understatement. The crying, screaming and ridiculous histrionics have done nothing but further alienate the two parties and quite frankly, made the left look like the unhinged loonies they profess the right to be.

Any rational answers out there for such moronic behavior? 

And that, dear friends, will end my rant for the day.

Hmmm…What About The Men??

I have tried my best to keep this blog free of politics because quite frankly, I like hiking more. But for the longest time now politicians on both sides of the aisle have proven that they are nothing but lying cretins who thrive on a scorched earth policy. I have listened to the accusations being thrown at Brett Kavanaugh since he was nominated. But one thing I have not heard, especially from the left is, what about the man? What if he is truly innocent?

Now before you get all self-righteous and start calling me names and saying I don’t care, it is about time to talk about the other side of this. We all have friends, relatives and acquaintances who are male. What if one of them were accused with something as horrible as what we have seen? Knowing your friend, relative, or acquaintance as well as you do, would you immediately jump on the she’s right and he’s wrong band wagon?

I have an almost 22 year old son who I have spent years preaching the importance of avoiding situations that might be misconstrued. I have gone on and on about drinking, over drinking and using drugs at parties. I have tried to raise him with a moral system that would make him think about putting himself into a situation that could damaging. I hope that he has listened. To this point he has not been in any type of compromising situation that could ruin his life. Is it by luck or through his upbringing? Or both?

Is it just a matter of time before he becomes one of the accused?

Of course I am not saying women are not sexually assaulted. They are. But’s let’s focus on that instead of demonizing every living male. The calls for all Republican males to be castrated is repulsive. Where is the anger at that.

Yes, women do make up stories for whatever the reason might be. Yes, that is a fact. But the left keeps coming up with more and more ridiculous claims. Think about that when it is your son, father, cousin or friend who has been accused. Will it matter if you know he is innocent? If you know that he couldn’t have done what he is accused of? According to the left it won’t matter. He’s guilty. He has to pay!

Be it through career, job or reputation,  (or all three) he will pay!!!!

Once again, think about it if your friend, relative or acquaintance was on the receiving end of a vicious attack like this. I’ll bet you would sing a different tune.

As noted on some of my Facebook posts recently, if you are in any way offended by this post, I don’t care. Comments are more than welcome but please keep them clean.

I’ll end my rant here.

A Zombie Like Existence

Technology has improved all of our lives, yes? Is that a fair statement? We can’t deny that not only have we seen improvements, but every day activities are made easier. We can shop on computers, iPads, lap tops and even our phones! We can have anything that we want or need at our door in a day or less.

But as with every advancement we see in society, it comes at a cost. Unfortunately that cost is our children. You see, I work in a high school. For 20 years I have seen the dependence on cell phones and other forms of tech increase to the point of no return. Heads bent and shoulders hunched, students and teachers alike move through the halls from class to class like zombies in the Walking Dead. Unfortunately, like in the Walking Dead, we can’t dispatch kids or colleagues to a better place for living a zombie like existence.

We are raising what could be generations of young folks who can’t hold a conversation and are content with staring blankly at a screen. How about reading a book?

Ask them to put them away in class and you get attitude. For that matter, ask just about anyone to put their phones away and you would think you are asking them to give up a limb. Wait, maybe we are…Anyway, I found these outstanding images that give a pretty honest look at what life is like today. Enjoy!!
