Arrival

“Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters the most.”

-Buddha

WP_20180213_001 I have used this tree to guide me into my parking space for the last 18 1/2 years. It is true that I usually don’t need it, but during the winter months when we have snow, it does come in handy. I know that all I need to do is center my Jeep on the tree and all is good for the day.

As you can see by the picture, you can sometimes get a glimpse of a decent sunrise.

It Only Gets Better..

I can’t imagine anything more worthwhile than doing what I most love. And they pay me for it.”

– Edgar Winter

Not only do I get some really fantastic views as I head into work, I also have the best views from the classroom that acts as my office. When the day isn’t going as I planned, I just look out my window for a few minutes. You can’t beat this!

Another Work Sunrise

“Either you run the day, or the day runs you.”

-Jim Rohn

“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.”

-Eleanor Roosevelt

The best thing about coming to work at this time of the morning (6:20 am) are the sunrises that I get to see on a daily basis, especially this time of year. With the clocks falling back just about a couple of weeks ago, the timing is perfect to watch the sun come up as I am getting out of my car in the parking lot. Although I deeply mourn the loss of daylight in the afternoon, I do cherish the quality sunrises that I get to experience on a daily basis. Every day I hope that it sets the tone for the rest of the day…

Morning in the Hudson Valley

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”

-Marcus Aurelius

“I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.”

-J. B. Priestley

“Every morning was a cheerful invitation to make my life of equal simplicity, and I may say innocence, with Nature herself.”
― Henry David Thoreau

I love the morning. Without a doubt it is the best time of every day. The peace, quiet and possibility sets the tone for what lies ahead. The success of every day is what you make it.
