The Sunset At Ward Pound Ridge

It was truly an odd feeling to be on the trail today and after almost always being a party to the woods waking up, I was instead for once looking at the coming night. Being pretty deep in the woods and surrounded by many hills, the darkness enveloped me much quicker than the morning light does as the sun rises. As I exited the woods in almost total darkness, I was able to catch the last of the sunset off in the distance.

Beautiful pictures of our last couple of awesome sunsets. I’ve taken some beauties in the past, but couldn’t get the latest to come out like yours! I especially like the Ward one. Even though it was the tail-end of the sunset, the top one of the stark contrast with that gorgeous large tree made for an exceptional photo. Kudos.

I feel that we didn’t have a pretty fall this year. The leaves fell down before they could be really change color. I’m not sure if I love them without leaves. It’s the photographs that give them life.

With all of the rain that we had this year I also would have thought that the fall would have been much more brilliant than it was. I don’t know why, but I absolutely love the trees after the leaves fall off. I can’t explain it!!!
